CTCA Policies

Refund Policy

CTCA processes three categories of payment: Membership Dues, Events, and Conferences.

Membership Dues

Once approved as a member and payment has been received, no refunds of membership dues are permitted under any circumstances.

Events

If refunds are permitted for a particular event (golf tournament, etc.), the refund policy for that event is clearly stated in the event artifacts (brochures, web pages, etc.) In the absence of a clearly stated refund policy for an event, no refunds are permitted for that event unless the CTCA board rules otherwise on a case-by-case basis. Most events conducted by the CTCA permit refunds (perhaps subject to a service charge) provided that the registrant provides adequate notice as outlined in the event artifacts.

Conferences

If refunds are permitted for a particular conference, the refund policy for that conference will be clearly stated in the conference artifacts (brochures, web pages, etc.) In the absence of a clearly stated refund policy for a conference, no refunds will be permitted unless the CTCA board rules otherwise on a case-by-case basis. Most conferences conducted by the CTCA permit refunds (perhaps subject to a service charge) provided that the registrant provides adequate notice as outlined in the conference artifacts.

Security Policy

We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving payment data. We have security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from or about you.

Privacy Policy

Applications

We request information from the user on our application form. A user must provide contact information (such as name, e-mail, work telephone number and company address) and other standard information. This information is used for the purposes of evaluating applications for membership. If we have questions about the application, or need additional information from the applying organization/individual, the information is used to contact the applicant.

Information Use

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use a tracking utility called Webtrends through our hosting service that uses log files to analyze user movement.
