Karl has over 25 years experience in all areas of the Canadian telecommunications industry. He held senior line and staff positions in operations, network services, training, marketing, sales, and regulatory matters with a major telecommunications carrier. Karl worked on rural connectivity issues in Canada and abroad and was a team member of several projects which were successful in securing third party funding. Karl is conducting workshops and training on behalf of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization and other associations to regulatory personnel and carriers globally on issues and strategies (marketing and technical) concerning migration to Next-Generation-Networks and Voice-over-IP as well as Integrated Risk Management concepts . Most recent assignments were in The Gambia, Cameroon, Mozambique, Kenya, Botswana, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Sri Lanka. He recently compleded training and workshops for Saudi Telecom and for Fintel (Fiji International Telecom)on Marketing Strategies in a competitive environment and on similar topics.
